Why AdGator makes sense

With AD:DYNAMO & AdGator recently forming an alliance (more here), many bloggers have asked very valid questions.

Many bloggers have asked why they should use AdGator & receive a share of the 50% AD:DYNAMO pays to AdGator when they could use AD:DYNAMO directly & receive the full 50%.

Here’re the reasons why it makes sense for Bloggers to use AdGator:

  1. AdGator sells ad space on a CPM basis, which always out earns CPC. whether Google AdSense OR AD:DYNAMO
  2. There is still a need for a CPC solution for when there is unsold ad inventory, enter AD:DYNAMO
  3. A Blogger using AD:DYNAMO directly will see contextual ads running on their site.  Bloggers receiving AD:DYNAMO advertising via AdGator benefit from receiving Site Targeted ads.  Site Targeted ads have the potential to out earn contextual ads dramatically.

Through AdGator blogs will benefit from a combination of both CPM & CPC ads in a single advertising channel.

More on Site Targeting advertising

  • AD:DYNAMO allows advertisers to bid on premium, ‘named websites’.  Almost no blogs meet the requirement individually to qualify as a named website, but collectively through AdGator, blogs are named.
  • Site Targeting gives the publisher alot of control – most importantly, AdGator is able to set a minimum bid per click for each of its blogs, which the advertiser has to meet in order for ads to show.  This gives AdGator a strong influence on a blogs’ earning potential.
  • AD:DYNAMO is deploying a new version of its advertising interface later today, which will highlight Site Targeting – so in essence, a blog participating with AdGator will be named & marketeted specifically.
  • Over the next 2 weeks Site Targeting will progressively out earn contextual advertising for any premium, ‘named website’

To conclude, we are comfortable that AD:DYNAMO revenue bloggers earn through AdGator will exceed AD:DYNAMO revenue that bloggers could earn directly with AD:DYNAMO – because AdGator qualifies for site targeted ads and no blog will qualify individually.
